The Barça Basketball team, also known as FC Barcelona Basquét, is one of the biggest basketball clubs in the Liga Endesa Spanish League, the first division of Spanish basketball. It was founded in 1926. Hence it is also one of the oldest clubs in Spain. They have won 18 national league titles (the last one dating back to 2014) and 25 Spanish Cups (the last one in 2019). Besides competing in the national league, the FC Barcelona team regularly competes in the Basketball EuroLeague, which they won in 2003 and 2010.
Just like in football, their arch-rivals are Real Madrid, and the clásico Barça vs Madrid in Basketball is one of the matches of the year for many fans in Spain and basketball fans in general. The match is usually sold out, and the atmosphere is breathtaking.
